Running for the Bulls (RFTB) is one of Bama Bully Rescue’s biggest fundraising events! This is a family and fur friendly event to raise money for Bama Bully Rescue. Since 2008, we have been rescuing pit bull type dogs from Alabama animal shelters. Our mission is to create breed ambassadors, educate communities about the true nature of the breed, and help bully breed owners spay/neuter their pets.
Running for the Bulls is a 3.1 or a one mile trail run (your choice) through the stunningly beautiful Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. All dogs are welcome and runners are encouraged to bring their “canine coach” with them! Both humans and canines will have an opportunity to medal. Family and friends can shop our exclusive raffle items while waiting for their trail warriors to cross the finish line! This is a rain or shine event, so plan for muddy trails and lots of fun!
All Running for the Bulls participants are welcome to run/walk with or without a dog. If you are running the 5K with your canine coach, both you and your pup are eligible to win a prize! The 5K online registration form will automatically prompt you to add your dog / canine coach before you check out. No coach? That’s OK, too!
Register on-line and avoid the race-day rush!
