Why spay or neuter your pet?

Every hour in this country, more dogs and cats are born than humans. When supply is greater than demand, the extra dogs end up in shelters, and often are euthanized for lack of space. As long as dog owners refuse to spay or neuter their dogs in the State of Alabama, overpopulation will be a problem.  There is kinder, simpler solution to the euthanasia that must take place in overcrowded animal shelters. The solution is to spay and neuter our companion animals.
