Our 5th Annual Running for the Bulls 5K and Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 6th at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL. Registration opens on January 15, 2024!

Running for the Bulls participants are welcome to run/walk with or without a dog. If you are running with your canine coach, your pup is eligible to win a prize donated by Hollywood Feed! Register on-line and avoid the race-day rush!

This is a family and fur friendly event to raise money for Bama Bully Rescue. Since 2008, we have been rescuing pit bull type dogs from Alabama animal shelters. Our mission is to create breed ambassadors, educate communities about the true nature of the breed, and help bully breed owners spay/neuter their pets. We are honored to dedicate this run to the memory of Mary Michaels, an avid runner and proud bully breed dog mom. Running for the Bulls is a 3.1 or a one mile trail run (your choice) through the stunningly beautiful Oak Mountain State Park. All dogs are welcome and runners are encouraged to bring their “canine coach” with them! Both humans and canines will have an opportunity to medal. Family and friends can shop our extensive raffle items while waiting for their trail warriors to cross the finish line! This is a rain or shine event, so plan for muddy trails and lots of fun!

The parade does not stop until you arrive at DeVinci's for the after party benefiting Bama Bully Rescue!

DeVinci’s is donating all outdoor cash bar tips to BBR, so be sure to bring your cash!

March with us! We want you and your pup to celebrate all things Irish by joining us at the 40th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

--The parade lineup starts at 11:30am at the Retail Strategies parking lot (915 22nd St S)
--The parade will begin at 1:30pm
--The route goes down 10th Ave S, turns left on 20th St S, and ends at 14th Ave S.

Participants (and pups) are invited to an after parade party at 3pm at DeVinci's Pizza.

Join us on Thursday, May 11th at 6pm for Pits & Pours! The Pleasure Is All Wine in Hoover will be hosting the event. The cost is $15 per person and all proceeds will go to BBR. In addition to helping out our furry friends, you will also be tasting ten delicious wines provided by Eric Williams of International Wines. We hope to see you there!!!

Dog Days at Discovery is a celebration of pets and the people who love them for the greater Hoover area and beyond. There will be activities for dogs and kids, food trucks, live music, and a Blessing of the Pets. There will be an exhibit area for pet-related businesses and organizations to promote their products and services. Please come find our Bully Booth set up there! We hope to have some adoptables there and will have all our merchandise and cute new t-shirts! We hope to see you there!
