DOGS IN NEED! Pictured below are just some of the dogs that BBR is unable to help at this time. We are contacted daily by owners, shelters, and good Samaritans who know of dogs in need. Without foster homes and money for vetting/medical needs, we are unable to take these dogs into our program. This page is to showcase the dogs that are in need RIGHT NOW. These dogs might need a foster home, transport, medical help, etc. We will also use this page to post for other groups in order to collectively help the dogs that need us! BOUDICCA (BOUDA) Little Boudicca is probably about 3-4 years old (looks like she had a litter or two), is about 45 pounds; spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative; has a 3 year rabies shot, booster, wormed and is in excellent health now. She rides well in a vehicle, walks on the leash excellent, is housebroken, good with all animals (but has shown a strong interest in the house birds). I have no idea how she is with cats!
She is gracious and grateful for all you do for her, is excellent with people and children - very gentle. I have seen no negatives with her so far (she's been with me about four months now). |

MORGAN She's great with kids and adults, not so good with cats, and I don't know how she is around other dogs. Oh yeah, she's allergic to potatoes and she's also a great cuddle buddy. Morgan really needs a home to call her own! |

WHISKEY He is healthy, housebroken, crate trained, rides well in a vehicle, is neutered, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, and will sit and wait on command. He is also used to walking on a leash. He needs a home of his own very soon!

FROSTY Hi - I'm called FROSTY. They call me that because I was put out on the coldest night of the year and I thought I was going to freeze. It is really OK because a nice lady found me and now I am warm, safe and dry - the food is good too! Everyone here at the Vet Clinic is so sweet but I sure would like to have a fenced yard so I can run and play and my own family to love. |

ROXIE Meet Roxie who was abandoned at Smith Lake & wandered into a friend's yard Sun morning during the snow. She is extremely emaciated - my vet says approx 8 years old, had numerous litters, her teats are hanging badly. Heartworm positive - received 1st dose of Ivermectin for slow kill treatment Treated for tapeworms Received booster/rabies - fecal negative for other parasites (she had two doses of strongid prior to vet visit). Temperament is just phenomenal as u can see from photo above. She is a SPECIAL NEEDS girl. |

ELIZA She is about 2 years old. We have spayed her and treated her for heartworms along with giving her all her vaccines. She is very friendly and loves people. She does not like cats but seems to do well with other big dogs. We are
looking for a foster home or forever home for her. |

DOC Doc is a Pit Bull and we think he may have some black lab in him. Weighs 50 lbs. and is all black with a white patch on his chest. We have taught him how to sit, lie down, come, stay and he is crate trained and completely house broken now. He gets along wonderfully with our other dogs (permanents and fosters) and children. He has a lot of energy and loves to run and go for walks. He definitely
prefers to be in the house with people but loves to be outside playing
when someone is with him. |

LUKE A fawn American pit
bull terrier with a white blaze and white chest and feet. He is
approximately 9-12 months of age. He is neutered, up to date on shots,
wormed and is on heartworm preventative. He weighs 68 pounds. |

LACY Lacy is an extremely sweet, approx. 2-3 yr. old female pit bull. She has lived her entire life secluded to a filthy backyard with a family who has been unable to care for her. After having her second litter of puppies, the family decided to stop feeding Lacy and the pups. All of the puppies have found homes, and now Lacy is waiting patiently for hers!Lacy is up to date on all shots/vaccinations and has no known medical issues. She loves people and gets along well the other dog at her current home. But, she is still hesitant of other animals and likes to chase cats. She should be the only pet in the home and must be an indoor dog. She needs a very active owner who will interact with her daily and exercise her because she is busy! SUPERMAN Superman
has been in a foster home since last August and would really love to
find a forever home! He is a super sweet, big bundle of pit bull
love. He gets along with both dogs and cats, but should be
supervised due to his large size. He is house trained, crate
trained, up to date on all shots, neutered, and microchipped.

MELLE Melle
is just the sweetest dog. When you hug her, she whimpers and whines.
She's house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Warms up slowly
to other dogs but then likes them and plays with them, but wants to
chase cats.
She absolutely adores people!! She is a couch potato, loves riding shotgun in the car, greeting people in the office, chasing squirrels and mice around the barn. Completely vetted, heartworm neg. and on preventative. Melle is spayed and only 2 years old. Contact: Suzanne Young YoungSunDog@aol.com |

in a nearby neighborhood and not claimed. He has been neutered, tested

ONYX Onxy
arrived in 6/10. He is about 1 year old. He was tied to a broken down
kennel with a note that said "please take care of him". He had an
injury to one of his rear legs that now causes him to limp. He tested
negative for heartworms and is neutered and current on his vaccines.
